A: Slots open during the first week of every month — the exact day and time varies. Sessions are released for the current month only. Future months appearing unavailable just means those sessions haven't been released yet.

Q: What is a birth chart reading with you like?

A: After a brief introduction, we dive right in and cover a lot of ground. I do most of the talking, so you can sit back, relax, and absorb. I ask questions along the way and love when clients chime in to affirm or clarify. Each reading unfolds like a story, slowly revealing your personal you-niverse. Topics can range from playful to serious, but everything is delivered with a grounded thoughtfulness. Before we meet, I calculate your chart and often get a sense of the session's tone before we've even spoken. If I notice a Pisces Mercury, for example, I'll naturally loosen the structure to match that flowing energy. Just be you — the reading finds its shape around you.

Q: I can never seem to catch an open slot. Any advice?

A: I'm based in New York, with slots typically running 12pm–6pm EST, which usually works across a range of time zones. If your schedule or time zone makes those hours tricky, please email me. I don't love the idea of anyone staying up late or waking up at the crack of dawn for a reading. If you're halfway across the world, reach out and we'll find something that actually works for both of us.

Q: Can I record our reading?

A: Sessions are held over Zoom and I always enable recording so you can revisit the conversation after.

Q: How do I reschedule a reading?

A: Your original booking confirmation email contains a reschedule link at the bottom. If no available slots are showing, email me at least 24 hours before your session so I can accommodate you and release your slot to another client.

Q: Can I cancel/refund a birth chart reading I booked?

A: Yes, you can cancel a birth chart reading at least 48 hours before your scheduled meeting for a full refund.

Q: What happens if I missed our session?

A: If you miss your session without notice, the session is forfeited.

Q: What happens if I cancel under 24 hours notice?

If you need to reschedule within 24 hours, a $50 rescheduling fee applies, which helps offset the missed slot. Please reach out as soon as possible and I'll do my best to get you back on the calendar ASAP.

Q: Do you send calendar reminders for your readings?

A: Yes! When you book a reading, an event invite is automatically sent to your email with a private Zoom link, along with a confirmation email. You’ll receive a reminder email 24 hours before your session, as well as an SMS text reminder the day-of.

Q: Do you practice tropical or sidereal astrology?

A: I practice Western, tropical astrology. You can read about the difference between tropical astrology and sidereal astrology in my Astro Glossary.

Q: What house system do you use?

A: I use the Whole Sign house system, which evenly divides the 12 houses. In my experience, it’s very accurate, although there is no “right” system. A good astrologer can interpret the cosmos for you using any system.

Q: How do you set your pricing?

Pricing covers the full reading experience — session time plus the preparation work that happens beforehand. Predictive readings like the Matcha Latte, Chai Latte, and solar returns require dedicated chart research before we meet, and that's built into the cost.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: At the moment, I don’t offer payment plans.

Q: Do you use AI for birth chart readings?

A: No. All chart calculations are done personally by me using astro-seek.com. I don’t use AI for birth chart readings, and I don’t input clients’ birth data into AI systems before any readings. If you’d like a meeting summary, you can request a Zoom AI notetaker, which I can provide on request during our call.

Q: How do I order an Astro Map?

Q: Why are you tracking the moon, and not the sun?

A: In astrology, the moon represents your inner, emotional world. Your moon sign reflects your innermost thoughts and emotional processing style, and the moon's movements reveal energetic ebbs and flows. The moon affects us on a deeply personal level.

The sun and moon are the two most important celestial bodies to track in astrology. The sun changes zodiac signs every few weeks, and the moon changes signs every few days. While you might read general horoscopes for a zodiac season, for example, you can learn more about your day-to-day energy shifts by tracking the moon.

After all, the moon’s face is reflecting light from the sun. Both luminaries are essential, which is why I provide sun sign horoscopes on Instagram and detailed moonscope horoscopes (or “moonscopes”) over email.

Q: Are the moonscopes tailored to my birth chart?

A: Everyone receives the same moonscopes every week. For important lunar events (such as a new moon, full moon, first quarter moon, or final quarter moon), you receive personalized horoscopes for your rising sign. You also receive personalized horoscopes for notable planetary transits, such as when Venus or Mars enter a new sign, and how this interacts with your birth chart. I highly recommend using the downloadable calendar feature. You can download moonscope calendars to sync with your iCal, Outlook, or Gmail calendar. When you do this, the calendar automatically updates to your time zone, and you can easily track where the moon is each day.

Q: Why do you use the Whole Sign house system?

A: The Whole Sign house system creates visually consistent, standardized zodiac wheels. This simple but powerful system supports not just natal birth chart readings but predictive astrology, too. Every Rising sign shares the same house rulerships. (For example, Scorpio Rising has a Taurus-ruled 7th house and Leo-ruled 10th house).

I have read my chart using both Placidus and Whole Sign houses—and appreciated both interpretations. Each unearths a new level of self-understanding. Ultimately, though, Whole Sign houses supports predictive astrology.

Q: Why do we read horoscopes for our Rising signs?

A: Your Rising sign sets up the rest of your birth chart. When viewing a zodiac wheel, your chart is broken into 12 segments, each representing an area of life. Each segment is ruled by a zodiac sign. When planets move through the zodiac signs, they cycle through our houses.

Q: How did you study astrology so thoroughly that you pick up on small details?

My own astrology journey began not with an in-person birth chart reading but with curiously cherry-picked information from a range of blogs and books. Then, firsthand observations skyrocketed my practice to the next level (that, and lots of repetition and research). From casual social encounters to formal birth chart readings, I came to discover that astrology is not divination but observation—built upon observations collected over thousands of years.

Astrology is learned through experience. You must study astrology, and then you must look at the world through its lens. Astrology is pattern recognition.
